Basketball Tower STEM Challenge

BASKETBALL TOWER REFLECTION

What was the hardest part of this challenge for you? Why?
The hardest part of this challenge for me was trying to get the structure stable because it can be hard to get it to stand up with newspaper. Another hard part was trying to make the basket to carry the ball because it was very hard to shape the newspaper into a circle.

What worked really well in this challenge for you ? Why?
What worked really well for me was working together as a team because we all had a certain job etc Kyle and Dylan helping stick things together. Another thing that worked well for me was using the tape to support the basket around the outside.

What value did you mostly have to show in this challenge and why?
The value Ishowed the most was connect because I had to talk to my partners and see what we were going to try and if it didn't work we would discuss what other things we had to try. Another value I showed was reflect because if something wasn't working we would have to rethink quickly.

What question do you now have because of this challenge?
What would happen if we had less time and 2 people. Another question was how would we change the basket to be taller and stronger.

Dylan, Hannah, Kyle and I trying to decide on how to make the structure.

Our plan

What great problem solving you and your partners showed - lots of solutions and finding the best one that fits for what you want to achieve. It also looked like lots of fun. xx
