Sharp Reading - Using "I think that means"

When using the “I think that means” strategy, what do you have to do? Give two answers.
To do the ITTM strategy you have to explain what the sentence means in your own words with detail and you have to try to convince the audience you know what the sentence means.

Write an “ITTM” for the following sentences:

It was a bright summer's morning and Lou had just finished milking the cow.
I think that means It was early on a hot day and lou had just completed getting milk from the dairy animal.

Lou stood in the middle of the room with a huge smile on her face.
I think that means that Lou was standing in the middle of the space with a big grin below her nose.

  1. I really like that you seemed to take your time, think about each key word and describe the word in another way - that was is so easy to understand! You got this strategy - so cool. Love Mum. Xx

  3. Isla, you have really convinced me that you understand the “ITTM” strategy. You are putting the all of the sentences into your own words and are convincing your audience you understand what you have read.
