2019 Maths goals- Solve decimal problems using standard written form. 1. 21.25 plus 15.8 21 plus 15 = 36 .8 is the same as .80 so .80 plus .25 = 1.05 1.05 plus 36 = 37.05 2. 16.27 plus 26.5 16 plus 26 = 42 .5 is the same as .50 so .50 plus .27 = .77 .77 plus 42 = 42.77 3. 25.6 plus 18.89 25 plus 18 = 43 .6 is the same as .60 so .60 plus .89 = 1.49 1.49 plus 43 = 44.49 4.34.65 - 14.39 34 - 14 = 24 .65 - .39 = .26 24 plus .26 = 24.26
Week 2 Choice blog post My worksheet What goal does this piece of work connect to? The goal that connects to my piece of work is I can convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions. How well have you achieved this goal? Explain I have achieved this goal okay because when I was doing my sheet I had to figure out which one I had to change it to eg if I had nine eighths I had to write it like a improper fraction 9/8 and then a mixed number 1 1/8. What value have you shown with this piece of work? Why? I have shown brave because when I started this I wasn't sure how to convert the mixed number into a improper fration and after I asked for some help I got how to do it.
